A slow staff-kitchen sink, a gully holding water after rain or a drain that has blocked twice in a few months can raise the same question: are your drains being cleaned often enough? There is no single commercial drain cleaning frequency for every business. As a practical starting point, many…

A drainage failure is not a minor plumbing inconvenience. For a commercial site, it can stop production, damage equipment, and disrupt staff and customers. An overflowing drain can quickly become a health, safety and environmental incident. Contaminated water can enter the wrong drainage system or escape onto surrounding land. The…

A slow-draining staff kitchen, recurring smells near a customer entrance, or a blocked gully that keeps returning can be difficult to diagnose from the surface. A CCTV drain survey commercial inspection gives you a clear view inside underground pipes without starting with disruptive excavation. Get clarity before planning drainage work…

A damaged drain no longer has to mean a trench across a driveway, yard, car park, or commercial floor. UV drain lining is a controlled no-dig drain repair method that restores a damaged pipe from the inside by installing a resin liner and curing it with ultraviolet light. The liner hardens inside the existing…

A blocked gully rarely looks serious until heavy rain turns a small build-up of silt, leaves, grease, or rubble into standing water. The Environment Agency’s recent national assessment places around 4.6 million properties in England in areas at risk of surface water flooding, and that risk is expected to grow as rainfall patterns intensify.…

Freezing temperatures, heavy rainfall, frost, and seasonal debris can all affect drainage performance. Even well-maintained systems may struggle if preventative measures are not in place. At Elliott Environmental Drainage, we regularly help businesses across London and Kent prevent…

Every property owner knows the frustration of discovering a problem too late, especially when it could have been prevented. Few issues are as hidden yet as disruptive as drainage problems. Most drains run out of sight beneath our floors and gardens, and because we rarely think about them, minor faults…

Winter brings enough challenges for commercial sites without adding preventable pump station failures to the list. When temperatures drop, these systems work harder, cope with heavier flows, and face increased strain from weather conditions. A pre-winter pump station check gives commercial property managers the confidence that everything is prepared for…

Flooding is every business owner’s nightmare. A single heavy downpour can bring everything to a halt, from damaged stock and machinery to unsafe working conditions and costly downtime. What’s worse, many of these incidents could be avoided with the right drainage measures in place.  Most business owners only think about drainage when a problem occurs, but by…
